How to Use the Offer Comparison Report on Openn

This video explains how agents can use Openn's Offer Comparison tool to quickly review and compare all offers on a property in a single, side-by-side view. It also covers how to generate a separate, de-identified version of this report to share directly with vendors, including those who are interstate or overseas.

WHAT THIS COVERS

Accessing the Offer Comparison Report

  1. Navigate to the property dashboard.
  2. Locate the Report section in the bottom right-hand corner.
  3. Click the Offer Comparison call to action to open the report.

        Agent View

        • The default view is the Agent View, which displays all offer information submitted by buyers in a side-by-side layout.
        • This makes it quick and easy to compare offers across all relevant terms at a glance.
        • You can simplify the view by toggling off certain fields you don't need to see, such as buyer email addresses, phone numbers, or loan requirement details.
        • You can also hide individual buyers from the view — for example, if you only want to focus on the top three offers.
        • Switch to the Seller View to see the version intended for the vendor.
        • This view is automatically de-identified — personally identifiable information (PII) such as buyer names and contact details is removed by default before anything is shared.
        • You can further customise the seller view by toggling off specific questions — for example, lead generation questions about the purpose of the purchase that are not relevant to the vendor's decision.
        • Individual buyers can also be hidden from the seller view if needed.

Publishing and Sharing with the Vendor

                        1. Click Publish to generate a snapshot of the current offers at that point in time.
                        2. Note: the report does not update automatically for the vendor — it only updates when you click Publish again.
                        3. Once published, click Share to either copy a link or send it directly through Openn.
                        4. The vendor will then be able to access the de-identified offer comparison from their end.

                                When This Is Particularly Useful

                                • When the vendor is interstate or overseas and cannot be present in person.
                                • When you want a clear reference document to refer to during a conversation with the vendor about the terms of each offer and which option may best suit them.
                                • Offer Comparison Report — an Openn tool that presents all current offers on a property side by side, allowing agents and vendors to review and compare terms easily.
                                • Agent View — the full version of the offer comparison, visible only to the agent, which includes all buyer details and responses.
                                • Seller View — a de-identified version of the offer comparison, designed to be shared with the vendor, with personal buyer information removed.
                                • PII (Personally Identifiable Information) — private buyer details such as names, email addresses, and phone numbers, which are removed from the seller view before sharing.
                                • Publish — the action of generating a point-in-time snapshot of the offer comparison that the vendor can access via a shared link.
                                • De-identified — information that has had personal or identifying details removed so it can be shared without disclosing private buyer information.

                                                COMMON QUESTIONS

                                                1. Where do I find the Offer Comparison report?
                                                  - Go to the property dashboard and look for the Report section in the bottom right-hand corner. Click the Offer Comparison option from there.

                                                2. Can I control what information the vendor sees?
                                                  - Yes. The seller view is de-identified by default, and you can further customise it by hiding specific questions or individual buyers before publishing.

                                                3. Does the vendor's view update automatically when new offers come in?
                                                  - No. The report is a snapshot that only updates when you click Publish. This means you control exactly when and what information the vendor sees.

                                                4. How do I send the report to my vendor?
                                                  - After clicking Publish, use the Share button to either copy a link or send it directly through Openn. The vendor can then view the report remotely.

                                                5. Is this tool useful if my vendor is not local?
                                                  - Yes. The video specifically highlights this as a useful tool when vendors are interstate or overseas, as it gives both the agent and vendor a shared reference point when discussing offers remotely.
